At this year’s SMT conference in Milwaukee, I’m pleased to announce that three interest groups will hold a joint panel about improvisation in worldwide multimedia. The Improvisation Interest Group, of which I’m a chair, will meet with the Global Interculturalism and Musical Peripheries (GIMP) Interest Group and the Film and Multimedia Interest Group to present a panel called Intercultural Intersections of Film, Multimedia, and Improvisation, which will be held on Friday, November 6, at 7:00 PM.
