Fall at the University of Chicago, in 2020

Postdoc Fellowship at the University of Chicago

Andrew received a Humanities Teaching Fellowship in the College at the University of Chicago beginning in school year 2021–2022. In this role, he creates and teaches core classes not only in the music curriculum but also in the university’s humanities core. In the music department, his courses include an introduction to Western music history and a core sequence class in nineteenth-century music. In the humanities core, Andrew teaches Media Aesthetics, a course that combines media studies with interpretive and cultural theory. This course engages with an exhibit at the Smart Museum called Smart to the Core: Medium / Image and culminates in a final project where students can create sound art and visual art.
